about me

Originally from Maryland, I was a home-schooled 9 year old when I first became serious about learning art. I became so serious about art in my youth that I attended and graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy, a private college preparatory boarding school in Northern Michigan focused on the arts. I majored in Painting and Drawing there, and I learned about drawing from observation and traditional alla prima oil painting techniques in the style of American Painters. For my college education, I moved west, to Seattle, Washington. I obtained my Bachelor’s of Fine Art from Cornish College of the Arts where I majored in Painting and Printmaking. In that time I became interested in the capabilities of different mediums, exploring image substrates, technique, application and manipulation of media directly on surfaces. After my graduation I developed a career in Data and Testing in the tech industry in Seattle. I have worked at Nintendo, Google, and Microsoft compiling data and testing various products. Art, however, is my calling, and in 2017 I returned to school. I graduated from the Seattle Central Creative Academy in 2019 with an Associate’s of Applied Sciences in Graphic Design. Design marries my passion for creative thinking and craft with story telling and analytical problem solving. My goal is to continue using my illustration in packaging and brand design.
